A Little About Me

I have long been interested in working with the mind, as well as making deep connections with others. After originally pursuing a career as a book designer and then stopping when becoming a mother, I found myself longing for a life path that was more meaningful and connecting. Over the decades that followed, I became a Hospice volunteer, studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, volunteered for the Buddhist Prison Ministry, and entered a years-long program for dedicated study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. Studying psychology and becoming a therapist seemed to combine most of the aspects of my previous endeavors: becoming familiar with how the mind works and being dedicated to finding ways to alleviate suffering, finding alternative methods of expression when words fail, and connecting deeply with others.

I love working as a therapist, and it is my great privilege to get to work with people on such an intimate basis. I try my best to understand each individual’s experience and, together, use the therapeutic relationship as an instrument of self-understanding, hope, and change. All are welcome.
